Our Story

Meet Kaysheri Haffner – the founding member of helping hands. In 2016, she was in sixth grade and realized that you’re never too young to make a difference.

The story behind Helping Hands begins when Kaysheri became aware of a young boy in 2nd grade, Devan Willis, who suffered from a type of cancer called T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. Devon was only seven years old at the time.

Shortly after, Kaysheri made the decision to step out of the sidelines and take action. With the help of a wonderfully dedicated team of local kids, her first charity drive was a huge success! These kids raised over $5,000 for Devan’s treatments.

Thus, Helping Hands of Gulf Shores was born.

Our Team

All members of Team Helpings Hands are kids that have gone to school in Gulf Shores. They have found a way to make a difference in their community and have made a conscious effort to do so.

We’d like to take a moment to recognize and applaud the kids who keep us going!
